Top Five Questions a Homeowner Should Ask Before Hiring a Roofing Company
Ask for proof of licensing and especially insurance so that you know the workers who get on your roof are covered incase of accident or injury. If they are not then you as the homeowner are liable for any insurance claims for injuries sustained while working on your property.
Many roofers say they have experience with say a tile or metal roof only to find out they have limited experience.
If they use non-employees to perform work make sure the subcontractor has workers compensation and general liability insurance. You might also consider looking into a lien-wavier in the event the roofing contractors fails to pay the subcontractor.
